Tim Shafer, el famosísimo creador de títulos como Monkey Island, Grim Fandango o El Día del Tentáculo, es la mano maestra detrás de Brütal Legend, nuevo juego para Xbox 360 y Playstation 3 en el cual encontramos como protagonista a Eddie Rings, componente de una banda de Heavy Metal con una misión casi divina…
Brütal Legends arranca cuando Eddie Rings se ve transportado al pasado; su viaje temporal le llevará a un mundo lleno de sabiduría y abundancia… y en lugar de aprender de la experiencia, reunirá una legión de bárbaros, demonios, y amantes del heavy para atronar la tierra con su Tour de la Destrucción, que llevará a este tranquilo mundo a la vertiginosa “Edad del Metal”.
El sueño de Eddie es crear una nueva sociedad donde sea adorado como un dios, en el que el reine el sonido del metal, los árboles se conviertan en cromo y los neones se encarguen de iluminar el cielo, y no le importa la sangre que tenga que derramar para conseguirlo…
Aventura con tíntes épicos, en Brütal Legend el heavy metal es uno de los elementos más importantes. Su protagonista, Eddie Rings lleva un hacha – guitarra que esconde poderes cuando su dueño la toca.
El juego, creado por EA Partners E3 y el estudio Double Fine junto al artífice de la idea Tim Schafer, contará con las voces de Ozzy Osbourne, Rob Halford (JUDAS PRIEST), ELF), Lemmy Kilmister (MOTÖRHEAD) y Lita Ford. El cantante Ronnie James Dio (HEAVEN & HELL, BLACK SABBATH, ELF, RAINBOW, DIO) fue finalmente excluido del juego y sustituido por el actor Jack Black, quien según los creadores tiene una voz más acorde para el personaje. El elegido para su doblaje en castellano ha sido el genial Santiago Segura
